we have a situation with a client that is unique. He wanted a dating site, then turned over an image based file that his daughter came up with and a pre-purchased dating Perl based script (MojoPersonals) script and wants us to make the script work within the design. It utilizes MySQL. He also wants some customization. MojoScripts is not well commented at all. The customizations should be integrated with what we already have. Customization to the script: ***would add that a person looking at an ad could click on a button and send the person a "wink" anonymously and give the recipient of the wink the opportunity to click a link sent with the wink to see the person's ad. ***Only wants South Carolina areas in the dating choices. He wants people to be able to look up south carolina residents by zip code (all zip codes) that brings up all closely related zip code ads (within a close vicinity). The current script is US State based for National dating use. ***He wants the zip code search from the home page to bring up the City that the zip code represents and all ads entered within that zip code range meaning each zip code would bring up a custom "city" page. He also wants to sell ads to businesses in that city - meaning, each City page or Zip Code area would call up different advertisements that he sells to those specific area businesses. The rest of the script performs the functions that works for him. The main concern is working in the sold business advertisement area on the Personal Ads results page and making them change accordingly. It is also important to be able to use the image based design and make it function throughout the website. The home page image is very invasive to the usability of the home page as it is sliced and provided minimal areas for text and the search functions needed. Sub-pages past the home page should incorporate the logo and at least a portion of the home page design (for continuity), however, all of the city pages should display their own sponsor advertisements with the display of the personals ads that are pertinent to that city. The ads will HAVE to change with the location of the personals ads being searched if a zipcode is used. If no zipcode is used, the sponsor ads should rotate randomly, but evenly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Info (Added 12/6/2003 at 13:53 EST)... We do prefer bids from programmers that are familiar with MojoPersonals. We would also like to add that if you think that you can come up with a dating program that performs like [login to view URL], fits his "design" image, and has all the features, we will certainly entertain looking at that instead of using Mojo if it would be easier for you to develop your own customized way of handling all of these functions. The ONLY thing that can NOT occur is image distortion in the thumbnail images in the ad. That is the biggest and only complaint about using [login to view URL] as the perfect "example" of what our client desires. Mojo does not have a chat feature - so that is not an feature that is required at this time but he desires to have that added either now or later but is not "required" for the launch of the site. In essence, if all of the funtionality can be created easier from scratch than trying to alter MOJO - that is also an alternative. This project has been posted before and the guidelines above were not followed. If the guidelines can not be followed, please do not bid. We need qualified, serious help with this and can not waste any more time. Almost 2 weeks have been lost on this project already and we are ready to pay and have a functional site based on the Specific design and files that we provide to work with.
