Have done a lot performance tuning of large applications (both front-end as well as back-end) Some of the work that was done in the past for the clients 1. Improved the performance of screen loading to less than 3 seconds. Earlier it was taking more than 15-20 minutes. This was a client server application written in dotnet with SQL Server as back-end database 2. Improved performance of a PowerBuilder application where it was taking more than 7 minutes to lead a few screens. Optimized the oracle queries and got it down to less than 10 seconds 3. Optimized the dynamic queries of a ASP .net application and got down the report generation time to less than 3 seconds for 70% of the queries and the rest to less than 10 seconds. Initially these queries were taking more than 5 minutes and in some cases were timing out. All these queries were complex queries operating on millions of records 4. Optimized the queries for a large financial application reducing the response to less than a second from 3 seconds which increased the application performance
