Agronomy Manager – Iberia

Increasing populations, changing economies, and limited cultivatable land are significant factors driving Pioneer to use the broad application of plant science to improve the value generated from each field.  In order to strengthen DuPont Pioneer team in Spain and Portugal, we are looking to fill Agronomy Manager position  Major Responsibilities Elaborate and propose the new Marketing Agronomy Projects plan for Spain and Portugal, including protocols and action plans and support the Sales Force in establishing them for the marketing plans in the sales areas Contacts the vendors of special agronomy materials like weather stations, soil tests, ECB monitoring traps, remote sensing software and hardware, precision farming… to coordinate logistics and support. Analyzes or coordinate analysis of raw data generated in the Agronomy Projects to be used in the marketing plans. Analyzes and coordinate sales training for specific agronomy concepts to be used in marketing plans. Maintain contacts with Sales Areas, distributors and important farmers to follow up promotion efforts based in special agronomy Projects. Maintain contacts with Sales Areas, distributors and important farmers to follow up promotion efforts Actively participates in the sales forecasts Provide technical advice, training and guidance to  Area Sales Managers and TSS Launches new products on to the market, initiating training for the sales force. (Current Spanish degrees of Ingeniero Agrónomo, Máster en Ciencias Agrarias, Ingeniero Técnico Agrícola o Grado en Ciencias Agrarias). Experience3 years of experience at field level Experience managing field trials 2 years of direct contact with customers (farmers)  Skills and other qualifications: Advanced English level with a strong verbal and communication skills. Available to travel along the geography of Spain and Portugal, and eventually to international trips. Sound scientific background in matters like plant physiology, statistics, biochemistry of fatty acids, pathology, etc. Managing conventional communication and analysis software at advanced user level and specific software for effective presentations Good knowledge of  the agricultural products and technology that works with Analysis and summarizing capabilities Self-directedness Knowledge in Marketing tools is recommended.
