​Hi, i currently work in a datacenter as a linux servers administrator, so i believe my skills are quite enough to solve your problem. any kind of linux work is my daily routine. I did same kind of projects before, please see my reviews to understand my knowledges level. Apache is not a god solution for magento, because it uses too much resources and work slow. best solution is: varnish > nginx > php-fpm

Really using Apache? :) No problem, can do it for you, optimize all the server, install varnish cache up front to speed up static files and maybe some php too if there aren't too dynamic, optimize the Apache and PHP install. Will check other things too like MySQL, iptables. If you like can do a reinstall and migrate to other flavors of Linux to get more speed, like Gentoo, but thats your choice and I respect that. Been working with Linux for like 15 years, when there was Slackware, Debian, RedHat and SuSe, can work myself in any flavor you like since i mostly use command line tools and not GUI stuff. I can also handle things in short notice like 24/7 support for you, but we should agree on some time limits since I'm in another timezone, or maybe a extra fee in some times, but for things needed done in a 12-24h window would be no problem at all.
