Modify and Port C++ Code To Linux

Hello, I have more than 20 years of experience on many programming languages like C/C++, C#, PHP, VB, ASP, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS and some others. I also have a deep knowledge on MySQL/MSSQL database design/implementation/maintenance tasks, and SQL language query programming. I'm a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, having a low-level knowledge on networks and protocols. I also have a strong knowledge in Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), including Excel macro programming. On linux platform, I have already implemented many servers like apache-php, postfix (clamav/spamassassin), sendmail, squid, samba, bind, mysql, proftpd from source using many distros available (Slackware, Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Solaris). Hello, I have taken a look at the Github repository linked and I believe I would be able to modify and port the code within the span of 1 day by replacing the Windows-specific socket code with Linux-compatible socket code. This repository is very similar to an exercise that we did in my Network Security class so I will be able to do it no problem. There will be some differences between a Linux environment where this is run, and most of the .PDF documentation is written with Windows in mind (for example, it walks you through using Immunity Debugger which is Windows-only as far as I can tell). I can document what extra steps are necessary to get the exploit running under Linux, but depending on the amount of documentation required it could take additional time.
