Help configure Nuxt.js to work within Chrome Extension as iframe

I have a [login to view URL] (Vue.js) frontend app running in "Universal" mode. In other words, it does server-side rendering. I have a Rails backend, but don't think it matters. I use standard cookie based authentication. This job requires that the iframe works with the authentication cookies. I would like to present my [login to view URL] app in a Google Chrome extension through an iframe. But for some reason when I try, I get 401 errors from Nuxt. I just need you to help configure things so it works. There is no functionality needed. It only needs to be configured to allow my [login to view URL] app to function within a Google Chrome extension through an iframe with all the authentication working.
