Add Email User Button and function to c# .net site

On our website when a new user is added it automatically sends them an email with their username and password. We want to give administrators the ability to manually send this email. This project is to build a Function which sends the email, and then add a button to activate that function. Project details are below: The text for the email already exists, get it from the page /administrator/[login to view URL] : line 145 1. Create a new Database Column to Track Sent Email a. Table: UserProfile (already exists) b. New Column: welcomeemailsent c. Type: int d. Default: 0 e. Allow Nulls: No 2. Create a Function to Send the Welcome Email a. Build a function in /App_Code/[login to view URL] b. We may be using this function again in the future. c. Function input will accept a user id from UserProfile table d. Function outputs true on success or false if failed e. Function will: i. Update table: UserProfile>welcomeemailsent = 1 (this marks that the user has gotten the email) ii. Generate a new unique password for the user and store it in their profile. (replace any previous password, password should be secure and random) iii. Set UserProfile table to require them to update their password on the next login. NewPassword = 0 iv. Send the email (same text/content as previous version, from /administrator/[login to view URL]). 3. Add Button to Processing Details Page a. On the page: /administrator/[login to view URL] b. Add a button for each user called ‘Send New User Email’ i. See screen shot below for example c. Tool-tip for the button should read ‘Send out username and password to new users.’ d. If the email has already been sent once (from table UserProfile>welcomeemailsent) the button should be grey. Otherwise it should be green. e. Clicking the button will do three things: i. Display a javascript alert (javascript confirm box) 1. If the email has not been sent before (welcomeemailsent field) > do not display alert, just send email 2. If the email has been sent before (welcomeemailsent field) > “You have already sent one welcome email. This will reset the current user’s password and send them new login info via email. Are you sure you want to continue?” yes/cancel ii. If ‘yes’ then fire the function and send the new user email. iii. After function fires, display a modal saying ‘New User Email was Successfully Sent’ or ‘There Was a Problem Sending the Email.’ (based on return value of function) Modal should have a cancel button.
