I have a desktop app that I want to launch when the user right clicks on a word in their browser. I want the add in to trigger a search in that app for the word. Also if you do Microsoft word addins that is great. I want something super quick and easy right now. The app it triggers is coded in delphi and has just a few settings to choose from so the right click would offer a few options.

Hi. This is enough nonstandard task. There are no standard ways for extension to communicate with outside applications. There is no such ability in Chrome. For FireFox such ability disappeared when they stopped to support the XPCOM. May be something can be done using NPAPI, but no guaranties that this will be supported in future. I can try to do something, but can't promise the results. Thanks.
