The real identity of Iron Man is Tony Stark. The below is a small sample of my writing and is a description of a fictional small town in the south. The first four to five buildings which marked the otherwise un-demarcated southern edge of the small town Maefire were dead husks of their former business. A horseshoe clump of red brick, black roof, and shattered windows contained by a tall chain link fence was once the town’s only motel. It was settled in a dirt lot across from an empty gas station whose pumps looked to be as old as the dinosaurs they pulled from the ground. Trash filtered in the gutters, evergreens and occasionally built up around poles supporting powerlines. The next few buildings sat in close contact with each other as if their separation would cause the last of their existence to slip away. For a moment nothing but bruised and littered lots which a person could purchase cheap and set up another dying monument to Maefire put space between the foreboding outliers and the first real businesses of used car dealers and grocery stores. The highway glided into the small town like most do when passing through with an easy decline from 55 to 45 to 35 mph and became the main road which caravanning vehicles could slip into and out of Maefire with ease.
