This project looks easy, but deceptively so. Calculating a number sequence where the Net - NIBV is always positive is easy enough and can be done in a variety of ways. Calculating it for when we want a certain percentage to be positive is slightly harder. In both cases, however, the run time of a suitable program will probably depend linearly on the number of multiplying factors. With my Python and Microsoft Excel experience, I believe I can deliver an efficient and user-friendly program. I have a few clarifying questions: 1. Are there any restrictions on the base values? Do they have to be greater than 0, or integers, etc.? 2. Are multiplying factors always positive and always greater than 1? 3. In Part 2 of the project, are there any requirements other than percentage? For instance, does it matter which of the multiplying factors result in positive Net-NIBV? Is a random assignment of positive and negative more desirable than, say, the first 8 MF have +ve Net-NIBV and the remaining 2 MF have -ve Net-NIBV? Thank you for your time and consideration.
