4-Hours a Day - Long-Term Project - Watch Patient Remotely & Make Calls on Behalf

Remotely monitor (via the web) an incapacitated person who lives in a nursing home. Ensure the patient is turned and re-positioned every two hours. If the facility does not turn patient, call the facility to request that CNAs enter patient’s room to turn and reposition him. Afterward, watch them turn and re-position patient; document any signs of abuse/neglect. Patient needs to be turned onto his left and right side every two hours. Must also ensure that patient's teeth are brushed twice daily at 8 AM and 8 PM. Record all phone calls, and in Excel/Google Sheets, note the dates and times for each call, whom you are speaking to, and the names of CNAs on duty (see attached). In addition, document times when the patient was last turned and re-positioned and whether staff brushed his teeth (see attached). At the end of each day, e-mail me the phone recordings and the Excel file or Google Sheet link for my review. Your responsibilities are subject to change, and although it does not require monitoring the patient 24/7, it is important that you proactively remind the facility to turn and reposition him, even after you have completed the call. In summary, you check the patient, call the facility every two hours for turning and repositioning, and watch them perform their job. You also ensure that the patient's teeth are brushed at 8 AM and 8 PM every day. Estimated work time every two hours: 10 to 20 minutes (i.e., calling, documenting, and watching). Total work time within a 24-hour period: Approximately 4 hours. * If needed or should anything happen to the patient, your records and phone calls will be used publicly as evidence.
