Dear Prospective Client:
I am not sure if you are the same client who posted a similar job recently, just before the holidays, but in any event, allow myself to introduce myself. I am a published freelance writer and medical writer, having published various articles in a number of professional journals. Holding a liberal arts degree in the Physician Assistant Program (a five year degree program) and more than 3 additional years in mathematics, English, philososphy and history (world, ancient and US), I have created a background for writing in specific genre over a period of the past fifteen years. Additionally, I also published a book with Southwestern Educational Publishing Company (Thomas Learning) during the latter part of 1998; the book is designed to teach the inner-working environment of a medical practice and remains available for the post-secondary fields.
More specifically, and directly related to your current projects, I have had empirical knowledge about the credit industry, being forced to claim bankruptcy following the total destruction of my residence due to an accidental fire in 2002; although I (we) had insurance, and we lived in the home for more than 10 years, the amount owed remained substantial and therefore we walked away with less than 2 thousand dollars. We lost everything, right down to the last thread of our clothing. At first, I attempted to deal with individual credit cards by writing well-crafted letters to them, but, with their infinite wisdom, they didn't really care about the individual and proved that they were going to fight for the money owed, in spite of the fact that we were still looking for an accomodating domicile. Therefore, going through the "motions" of bankruptcy without the assistance from an attorney was a task in and of itself and the amount of information learned was totally invaluable. Anyone who has not gone through these situations is left with nothing more than presumptions; only the person who actually went through the "hoops" as it were, can tell another person about the horrors involved as well as the embarrassment, particularly as I continued with my career as a physician assistant (in a sole practicing environment -- myself and one nurse, treating more than 3000 patients and building the clinic from 400 patients to the 3000 in less than two years). As a sole provider, I was the clinician; I saw my own patients, performed the diagnoses and prescribed the appropriate medications without direct supervision, which is permitted in the state of Florida).
I have placed a bid for $20.00. That is considering each article. I don't expect any advancements as I am sure that you will want to see my work before payment. I am a self-starter in many ways and I rarely, if ever, require more than a simple task orientation before I set out to complete a project. I would love to be given an opportunity to provide my services to you. I will send you any electronic articles I have or a portfolio that contains materials that were published off of the Internet.
I will certainly look forward to hearing from you soon.
With all due respect,
Mark E. Abell, BS, PA
