This is perfect for me. For the past 4 years I've been working on a social media site where we're moving all the mysql data to cassandra. Sometimes it is a straight port from SQL to CQL. Other times it requires radically altering the way the data is stored. And it may require code changes or processing in the code that the DB did do.
About me, I have a computer engineering degree from CMU and 20 years dev and admin experience. I'd be happy to do a data port for you if you want to go this direction after our talk.
And, cassandra is standalone and the application interfaces with it. So it can run on pretty much any platform. It's not really "integrated" with the app in a traditional sense.
