This small project is to create a thumbnail from a URL using asp.net. There are many free scripts online for example: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] So I am not looking for someone to reinvent the wheel or come with tens of hours. This is a simple implementation. My problem is that I do not know .NET or how to implement a script correctly in iis 7.5. This project is to simply implement your choice of free .NET script to generate a thumbnail of a url. Not to generate the thumbnail from an online form. But from being able to hard code the URL and fixed thumbnail size into the page generating the thumbnail. This should also make it easier. The whole page of the URL should be captured (not the browser)

Well , this seems like a simple job . Just use bitmaps to generate the thumbnail from the url one provides Although i am not clear with "Not to generate the thumbnail from an online form" , you just want the thumbnail or a small screenshot of the website(to make it sound simple) , that you enter right ? The links you provided gave a clear idea on the end result you expect . should not take more than a hour or two . may be for full testing ( of different urls ) , i may take a bit of extra time .
