Auto populate password for Shopping Cart Software 2

When a new seller signs up, I need it to auto populate a random password to my back office(User Account Page). I have hired three developers so far and have gotten close to what I need but not all the way. All of them have been good but no able to deliver 100%. Here is what my last developers said: "Your system employs md5 hash to encrypt the password instead of using raw password. This is very good in term of security. Because the password is encrypted, no one can see raw password even if he has the access to the database. In order to authenticate user, we compare the md5 hash of the input password with the one in the database. I attach the image on the database to show you that the password is already save into the database. You can check it by using PHPMyadmin. So what I mean is that we don't know exactly the raw password of the registered users, therefore, we can't populate the password to these form." This is a shopping cart software with (I'm told) encrypted password. Please I need someone very experienced with this.
