Create/edit new/existing rules on Router Audit Tool (RAT)

Understood. My Understanding - You need to harden your Cisco router with security checks in-line with best practices and use the RAT tool to audit the same. My steps - 1. Review existing configuration and create checks in-line with security best practices, router version and its use. 2. Run the RAT tool to audit current configuration by creating and editing RAT rules based on checks identified in step 1 3. Implement the checks and re-run the RAT tool and create a configuration report 4. Revisit configuration/tweak checks if necessary 5. Document all the checks in the form of a security baseline standard for future reference. I would suggest using additional auditing tools (banner grabbing, Cisco password decoding, snmp settings etc.) and mapping checks to industry standards (SANS/NIST etc.) I have done this exact same work for leading IT firms.
