i need to be able to get the number of searches for a given term, over a certain period of time, in google, linkedin and twitter (at least in google). the code should be written in SAS. there should be an input file (in SAS), which contains a unique identifier, the search term, the start date and the end date. The result should be a SAS file with the the identifier, the search term and ideally three columns with the number of searches in google, linkedin and twitter.

Consedering google sreach, I find out thet Google trends had statistics on word sreach. So in first step it could be a very interresting source of data.

I did this kind of project previously. This task need some more information on how to handle the overlap between period of time for search & the start, end dates in the source SAS file. Once this was clarified the project will be completed in hours. How do you provide the source data - sample or full file? In what format the source file was provided? - sas dataset, delimited text file, excel file. In what format the results are needed - sas dataset, ODS reports, excel report? SAS programming, results in required output format will be provided.

As per my understanding of the problem description. Following are the inputs: A delimited file contains four columns a unique identifier, the search term, the start date and the end date. The code is enable to search a particular string in the data set and provide the counts of the string on the basis of the Company name. Moreover, I can help in refining the process more better by providing search on the basis of company and start and end date basis. Overall three kind of search in reporting format. Please let me know if I miss something
