Add on to convert manual wheelchair to a powered wheelchair

I AM MECHANICAL ENGINEER WITH FIRST CLASS. I AM EXPERIENCED IN SOLIDWORKS , DRAFTING , MODELLING , MOTION, SIMULATION, ANIMATION AND PHOTOWORKS. I AM USING THIS SOLIDWORKS FROM PAST TEN YEARS. I HAVE DESIGNED MORE THAN 100 PRODUCTS IN HEAVY MACHINERY INDUSTRIES. I HAVE CREATED VARIOUS 2D DRAWINGS, 3D ANIMATIONS FROM MODELS, SIMULATION LIKE STATIC, DYNAMIC FREQUENCY , USER MANUALS . PRESENTLY I AM WORKING IN R N D DEPARTMENT.

Hi, Thats an innovative and helpful project. I have seen firefly and similar designs designs, I have a contact who was approached initially for manufacturing a product similar to firefly. The only concern I have is if they have patented firefly we need to alter many aspects of the design to resolve patent conflict. Another question is , when you mention design do you just need the designs or the first prototype. I can do both. We need to reduce speed and increase robustness for Indian roads.
