In other words, connect a device to the com 1 port and display the transmitted data in a display box. Allow for adding alternative information, such as a name, a company name, the name of the user, etc. Timeline October 12, 2007 - Development awarded. October 25, 2007 - XML Interface to be completed, without the serial binary data signals display. November 5, 2007 - XML Interface to be completed, with the serial binary data signals display. November 6-17, 2007 - Tweaking RS-232 Reader Application XML Interface Minimum application requirements; 1. A client name text box, 2. A company name text box, 3. A user name text box, 4. Displaying the date and time of serial transmitted data. 5. Displaying the serial transmitted data. (Shouldn’t be able to change it.) 6. A print command button. 7. A save command button. 8. That’s it! The application should preferable be written in XML. Glossary RS-232 Is a standard for serial binary data signals connecting between a DTE and a DCE. It is commonly used in computer serial ports. A similar ITU-T standard is V.24. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
