base converter

I need a converter program that has two functions. It needs to be able to convert from base 2 all the way to base 255. Now I am not sure that an official base 255 has ever been established or not. That is why along with the program I would want a text document that would display the characters used for each base. Since only one more character is added per base you just need to tell me which character that would be and what it value would be. The other function is that it needs to convert from normal text to what it would appear as in computer binary. So if I gave you say the letters abc It would display what a b and c would be in computer binary all 24 bits of it. ## Deliverables The program needs to be able to take a large amount for the bases conversions. The binary of files gigabytes big will be placed in this thing. One possible solution is that it can read a text document with the number it needs to convert and then put the converted number into a new text document. This can also be done for the ASCII to binary function.
