Compression and search problem

Whats the best technique to compress a? 2 million word dictionary which is approx? 30 MB in size. I need to use this dictionary for a windows mobile application. The usage of the file is for real time searches and check whether the user enetered word exists in it or not. The words can be of varying length in the file. Is there a way to do searches on a compressed file without performance hit?
