CakePHP site in the search for a new look

Hello, I am looking for an experienced web designer, with hands-on experience on CakePHP, to spruce up a working, functional but unappealing web site. The application is working, and I am happy with it, but would like to know what can be done regarding its looks. This is a very low traffic site that takes information from SMS messages, parse the contents, and display the information in a map. There are no design guidelines set for the site, and I will welcome options regarding the approach to this work. You could present some similar sites, we can discuss what aspects of them are more appealing, and apply them to this site. It is important to emphasize that the site has been created with CakePHP, and I cannot change that. I need the design work to adapt to that constraint, and keep up with changes done with other developers (1-2, you will be able to coordinate with them). We are using GitHub and happy with it, so you need to be able to use it effectively.
