This project is about setting up a scalable online city tourism, business directory with maps for direction to places of interest such as hotels, restaurants, parks, cinemas, businesses, airports hospitals, police posts and so on. Each entry will have a map link to get directions. We also need a mobile version of this maps tourist directory. We'd like to have price comparisons and enable online bookings for some of the services. The system will also provide for sponsored image and text adverts, adsense, affiliate programs, contests and other money making programs. Once set up, users, organizations should be able to enter their own details while admin rights are available to our own staff to manage the content. At the core of this application is maps. To qualify for this job please explain in your own words a summary of what we want to achieve and a brief insight into how you will approach this project.
