Business Reporting System + DB setup
Steps:
1. Imports all the data feed via XML/API.
5 - 50 inputs. XML / API schema will be provided. Important that you build this system so it can scale.
2. Store all aggregate feeds in mySQL Database. Database preference will be on AWS*
3. Once data is stored in database, then we require reporting software to query the database and display a number of fields.
Report will display
- Performance Variables: Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Spend, etc (additional fields will be provided)
- Arranged by: Account ID, Campaign Name, Campaign ID, etc (additional fields will be provided)
Additional Features:
- Flags: In the form of performance indicators, which can be set as good or bad (numeric input), campaign over/under-spending, either actual $ amount or % amount,
- sort by all and any variables (highest/lowest first), filter report by campaign, lifetime, dates, today/yesterday, custom etc,
- ability to export all reports to excel via csv.
Extra conditions:
- Delivery of software will include installation of software and database on Amazon Web Services. AWS account will be provided.
- All input feeds will be provided.
- An example excel (CVS) file of all the fields in the report will be provided. Reporting software must match this structure.
- Preference is to use PhalconPHP because we will be dealing with a lot of real-time data, and important to maximize number of queries per second both on the data coming into the database and the when querying the database to display the reports.

My previous experience with data reporting tools includes building a worldwide performance monitoring system which aggregated all the data into a single database to use for reporting. This was built before cloud computing was readily available.
Another project was a trading platform used by large network of private brokers. SInce the data had to used for reporting which would in turn be used to compensate brokers, it was necessary to ensure that both data capture and reporting were rock solid.
