Create custom RSS feed

i want to create a custom RSS feed. this feed will be used as the main source for several different websites. I am new to RSS, so, please tell me your expertise using RSS. I would like to make sure my RSS feed is using the BEST format and is readable by most RSS readers. i am open to using something such as feedburner or i am open to hosting my own solution. is it better for me to use feedburner, another service, or use some sort of server side based solution on my own server? I want the feed to utilize BEST IN CLASS technology and be in the proper format. This feed will include photos, videos, and text. it should have the ability to meta tag the data. the goal is to create an RSS feed that will then be used for the following webites. 1 facebook account 1 myspace account 1 wordpress blog 1 joomla website 1 twitter account so, when consulting me here please tell me what experience you have with RSS. also, if you can make this project work and are good with RSS i have a larger project in mind. money is ESCOWED FIRST here on GAF and then paid when project is done. i only pay through GAF THANKS
