# **Blogging Application** Using PHP and MySQL I want to build a simple, dynamic, database-backed blogging application. The end app should be a group type blog where multiple users can post entries, or comment on other entries. Users should also have their own profile pages. The blog should be searchable by category and tags, with results filtering by date / author. There should be a simple admin section where registered users can make new posts, edit existing posts / comments. ## **Additional Info:** * This project will need to be fully complete by the evening / night of the 5th January. Please do not bid if you think that you will not complete in this time frame. ## Deliverables **Main Requirements:** * All code should be kept well commented and as simple as possible in order for me to understand and make any future changes. <!-- --> * Separate database connection script. <!-- --> * An entry should consist of a title, the author name / user name, the date and time and of course the actual content of the post. <!-- --> * The blog home page should display a list of 10 latest posts in chronological order starting with the most recent. <!-- --> * Users should be able to search the site by category or tags (tag cloud). <!-- --> * Users should be able to filter results by author and date. <!-- --> * Categories, tags and authors should have RSS feeds available. <!-- --> * Each new post must be assigned a category and tag before being allowed to publish. <!-- --> * Users should be able to click on the title of each blog entry and be taken to a separate post page for that post. <!-- --> * By clicking on the authors name the user should be brought to a profile page for that author, which also lists any posts or comments made by that author. <!-- --> * Profile pages should be automatically made for each author. On the profile page, there should be an about me section, blog roll, as well as social networking links to the users other social networking sites. <!-- --> * Users with accounts should be able to log in to an admin section.
