Hi, Can be done. The script will take the next setting, verify whether it is valid. If it is not then mark it as invalid and pick up the next one. Then update the settings table with the values. What do you want to do with the invalid ones? Remove them, mark them as invalid or just leave them? Thanks

Hi! I'm good with php but I've never make any php related projects here. However if this is a cron job, then I can suggest to use shell script instead. Anyway it would be nice to help you since this sounds like a simple task. Let me repeat everything as I understand. You have (or I would need to create and populate) mysql table (let's say table_smtp) in some database I would need to create a PHP script to insert it in a cron to be executed every minute or five. This script will get one smtp connection detail from the table_smtp and test if this details are correct by connecting to smtp server and trying to send some email (or just to get to the point when it will be able to send it, then break connection). If everything goes right then the script will update another table (let's say table_application) with some data (which one?). If it fails then script stops until it will be executed again. One email check every minute or five, am I right? Or I should try to check whole 1000 emails every 5 minutes?
