Create Component for Joomla site or Modify SOBI

I have a joomla site with community builder and sigsu SOBI module. However, I am not happy with the functionallity of the sobi module. Here are the features that I need that are not currently available: I want the author of the ad to displayed on the ad with a link to their profile page. I want the author to be able to set an option on his ad when he creates it that will set its visibility. For example that he only wants his ad to be visible to his "friends" or that he only wants his ad to be visible to logged in users or that he wants his ad to be visible publicly to all visitors to the site. Also, I would like the ability to add a display url and a destination url. Right now the ads only say "url" * I do not know if all of this functionallity can be added to the SOBI module.
