Basic Artificial Intelligence Client and Server Application

I'm looking for someone to code a simple client and server application. The specifics are: Server - Needs to handle several thousand concurrent connections reliably. GUI - For the Server, a simple list of number of users, additional elements will need to be added as the project develops, future codework will be awarded to original programmer via [login to view URL] unless no agreement is made, then code will be award as a public Request for Bids. This is a small business project for now. My budget is extremely small. For the Client, this needs to be a GUI. Within the GUI is a field which contains a given number of graphic elements [for now, assume pixels] These pixels need to be selectable. And commands issued via the users GUI, such as "Eat", "Rest", "Mate" etc. *** See attached image for layout of the client. More to come as the project develops, see above. Artificial Intelligence - The AI for this technology demo needs to be simple, but fast and stable. Minimize quirks and bugs that can be easily exploited. Graphically, this application does not need to be pretty in the beginning, I can enhance the graphics. Technically, I need the beginnings to see if this can really happen, if its possible, we'll go from there and issue future requests to the original programmer first through [login to view URL] and should he/she not be interested, we'll do public requests as usual. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Server - Must run in Windows 2000 Server environment, you [as the coder] can help decide how it should be managed, either by application [server] or by service and configuration/management controlled through .NET applications. Client - Must run in Windows 98se, 2000, XP... if you want or can port the code to other OS's, more power to you. Management Console - I'm a big fan of web based management systems, they are accessible without installation of software, and highly configurable, I'd prefer this, but its not always possible. Help me decide. ## Deadline information Special Conditions: Initial Technology Demo as stated in description should be completed by February 28th, 2003.
