HI , I currently work full-time at a leading tech major in silicon valley. I work on extracting insights from big data sets using hadoop and hive. I can also help you visualize them using free software. Nothing like visualizing meaning full data. without it, it's all numbers. Working with business guys I have also developed the skill to understand opposites persons need and implemented very good understanding. I believe I should be able to do your work with high quality and understanding. Please find my full-time work items as below : Since I am pretty stable now at work, I can spend couple of hours everyday freelancing. • Designed and implemented from scratch a big data warehouse for location server logs and data outputs using Hive and Impala. • Reduced Hive query time by ~80% for JSON transaction logs by changing Hadoop file format and restructuring JSON strings. • Implemented BI analytics charts in Qlikview to visualize and analyze production activity. • Performing Data analyses Hive queries to look for anomalies in server or client behavior. Supporting research team by providing data for tuning algorithms. • Responsible for researching and prototyping newer Big Data warehousing technologies & Hive packages that improve and allow to analyses different types of data.
