Hey i'm daniel and new to this site but i already got a great profile at rentacoder (Ranked #609 out of 257,801 (higher than 99.76% of their peers)! Anyway i have already done similar projects. Not with Barcode but with car navigation systems who send such XML queries to a central server to obtain information about POIs. I would not need more than 14 days to finish up this project, I'd go get a barcode scanner at the mall and then we could start off right away! Of course the first goal will be to make the system as efficient as possible so even thousands of requests per second will be fine later on. Of course we would be in touch daily. Its an easy task to do, the first phase will be completed with the Bar code reading. The reading part is optical pattern recognition which we will be completing using JOONE, its a java neural network. If you are interested in our method, i will give you the screen shots of the work, we did for optical character recognition. Hello. I am experienced J2EE engineer. I have worked with JAX-WS (from the Metro pack) and JAX-RPC based webservices. I have done many enterprise EPR & CRM related projects. The last one is for the largest producer of flowers in Europe and has extensive use of PDA wireless barcode readers.
