Hi, I have done similar work outside freelancer and has been working with Drupal 7 for around 2 years. Lets discuss your work. 1. Your theme layout follow typical Drupal theme layout of sidebar, header, footer & content. 2. In Drupal Theme is done separate and content are generated separate so that on later stages you could easily change the design without moving content. All custom/contributed themes created are kept under sites/all/theme folder. 3. For creating content there is content generation form within drupal which allows easy create, read, update and delete. And easy content search feature after login. 4. The sliding feature (Carousel) you mentioned are also done easily using Drupal modules and yes it will be done by the CMS & you can also change pictures if you feel like you want to change pictures after some time and that too with ease. 5. Coupons since they are images can be added to side bars as blocks to only the pages where you want by specifying the urls of pages where you want those coupons be showing. This block can be placed on any region like sidebar, above or below content, footer or header. (Block is a drupal term) 6. For blog there is a module (drupal term) for easy creation of blogs. and for indexing there is a module called sitemap.
