Create SVG stroke paths from a True-Type font

I need someone to convert the glyphs of a true-type font to stroked SVG bezier path data. I will provide a true-type font with 220 glyphs. True-type fonts have an outline shape in the glyphs. I need the paths drawn as strokes as if you were using a pen, *not* as outlines. The line width of the stroke is 1. The person who is hired for this project will copy the stroke of each character as if written with a pen left to right, one character to a sheet, one sheet to a file. Some glyphs are made up of multiple strokes (i, j, t, x, much of the punctuation) so some pages will have several stroke paths, while others (c,o,etc) will only have one. The designer will use Inkscape, the open-source vector editor. They will do the first 5 or so characters to make sure that we both agree what is to be done, and once we've both agreed they will return a .zip file to me with all the .SVG strokes files. The letters must all respect the font metrics in the file, and all be based on the same metrics, so a lower-case f will be taller than a lower-case a, but the baseline will be in the same place, and they would be in proportion to each other. I have had some success by making a text box with a given character in a light shade of grey at 300 pt size, and then create a bezier path along the center of the path of the letter in the same pattern you'd draw the letter with a pen. I have another font that shows the pattern per glyph if that's necessary.
