Hey! I am a screenwriter in the Columbus, OH area. I went to Ohio State for screenwriting, and do a lot of acting and writing locally. Earlier this year I was ghostwriting a sci-fi novel for someone on freelancer and I wanted them so badly to turn it into a screenplay! I am a much better screenwriter than a novelist haha. I am currently working as an associate creative manager in a film studio. Part of my job is to write compelling content and scripts for movies, commercials and corporate documentaries. I'll provide the following - A one line premise of the movie - A short 2-3 page summary of the entire movie, outlining the plot, the characters and the story. This will be the most important step as subsequent steps will be based on these - Since adapting a novel into a screenplay is an art of its own, your input will be a must, since prose written in one form, when being adapted into another form, needs to be restructured, so that its spirit retains. - Character bios - Using the basic premise and the entire summary of the movie as a guiding compass, write out the scenes and their summaries, act by act. - After that, I'll flesh out the scenes one by one by adding dialogue and proper subtext, going back and forth between acts, until the entire script of the movie is completed.
