I have studied adaptation between several different forms of media, so I would be able to handle adapting the story itself. I have also extensively studied Tracy Letts, who I believe to be an expert at managing available stage space when it comes to writing set descriptions, so I could probably manage to craft a play so that there were no set changes even if the play has multiple locations (or at the very least, I could keep it down to one or two set changes with a revolving set piece). Based on the proposed length of your play, I'm assuming it's a one-act? So if the book is relatively short, I'm assuming there aren't too many set changes anyway. Or at the very least, there are probably parts that could be rewritten into one setting. Either way, I would very much like to handle your adaptation. I have been involved with my local community theatre since I was very young, so I have an inkling as to how exciting it will be for your local actors to work on a never-before-seen production, and I would like to help be a part of that.
