Stock Tracking Report Outline Mark: 15% You have $100,000.00 to invest in at least five stocks of your choice. Stocks must be public companies, listed on any major exchange ( Toronto, New York, Alberta, etc.) It is not required that you trade (buy or sell) in your portfolio once the initial investment of $100,000 has been allocated. If you wish you can behave like a passive investor and simply record what your ending performance is. Or you can actively trade and see how you “do”. For simplicity assume a zero percent sales commission. Your report should : 1. Summarize the financial performance of your portfolio, ie. did it gain or lose? (actual performance is not important for grading purposes). One page 7 marks 2. Include some comments as to possible reasons for the results. Examples could include sector performance, overall market reactions to events ( try to identify these or suggest these if you can) . One page 5 marks 3.
