c# dll convert png32 to png8

I need a method made for me to use in .net projects that will let me write out a filetype of png8. Right now i am able to write out a png but it is not a png8 file so it ends up a lot larger file size than it needs to be. I want well commented logical code, something high performance and most likely something i can open source in the future. So i think this is easy but i want it done right so please make sure your approach is good and well thought out let me know if you need help understand the png differences. also if you know a lot about png file types maybe you can propose to me some other controls we can have over png.
