BACKGROUND GG Innovation commissioned a design firm in London to design an application called TOURIST COMPANION (or TC-1) that targets tourists in London. TC-1 was to run on a digital camera and has features desirable to its target users. The previous design team gathered user requirements by carrying out a focus group with four participants in London. The focus group was one and half hours long. Participants were recruited by a recruitment agency and consisted of a builder – age 28, two students - age 19 and 20, and a waitress – age 24. However, GG Innovation was extremely dissatisfied with the design work and has stalled the project for a number of years. In this scenario, you are one of your company’s UX team. Your company has just won a contract from GG Innovation to redesign TC, but this time TC will run on the Android platform and target tourists from South-East Asian countries.
