Hi, I am a licensed Texas architect, also registered in Israel, with hands on experience of small projects. I typically draw projects in 3D with Sketchup and make all 2D drawings from a 3D model. It is actually just as faster if not faster than trying to think of how to convert a 3D real world design to 2D and the drawings are much more accurate to the actual built project and save time and conflicts. As an added bonus you can easily see 3D versions of your projects, even adding the model to a photo to see before and after versions before it is built. I typically charge $30 per hour for this type of work, $60 per hour for work requiring a Texas licensed architect. If you just need 2D drawings I have a 2 hour min. per project. If you have not tried this type of approach to drawings or maybe think it is too complicated for small projects, I encourage you to give me a shot at helping you with one of your small projects. I think I can do the project in about 5-6 hours, depending on detail level, or even less. I will provide timetracker pictures as proof of work, and am free to start right away after award.
