hi , its feels good to see you guys that you are doing the SAE Baja project. I saw your spec of briggs and stratton attached here. Actually I participated in SAE Baja in 2012 and we were winner in maneuverability test. We had optional 4 wheel steering system in our ATV. Name of our team was Saksham, ATV name- Aairavat. Hello sir/ma'am, I'm an automobile engineer and have worked on various vehicle building projects. Some of the successful projects include- solar powered race car(Participated in a racing event ISIE-ESVC[Electric Solar Vehicle Championship]), electric ATV(Participating in an off road racing event, SAE eBAJA). Some of the ideas that pop into my mind by reading your requirements and make the vehicle as cheap as possible were: Chassis Material: Mild Steel seamless pipes (easily available, workable, cheap) Engine: Need to do some calculations! Transmission: Again depending on the engine (I'll suggest using a CVT). Suspension: Looking at the weight (150 kgs i guess it's considering only one rider) probably 2 wheeler spring damper can be used. (mono-shock dampers from scooty eg. honda activa), will suggest dual A-arms in front and trailing arm at the rear. Brakes: Spare parts from any two wheeler will do the job i'll suggest hydraulic disc brakes on all four wheels operated by foot pedal and master cylinder of a four wheeler can be used. I have good experience of 2 years in working in CATIA V5 environment. I have special interest in designing ATV frames and I can also show you the screen shots of a ATV frame that I have designed earlier. I will take max of 3-4 weeks to complete the work (design won't include engine). I have interest in doing your project.

I have over 7.4 years experience in CAD-FEA. This ATV 160cc need short-stroke engine.(Suzuki - TVS) CVT-Automatic transmission. Chassis should be made from ASTM A35 material. But under 150KG is quite difficult.

2 year experience in catia. 1 year experience in AutoCAD. greatly experienced in CATIA. FAMILIAR WITH SIMULATION as well.

Hi I have worked previously on chassis design of BAJA vehicle twice in my college.I have good knowledge in CATIA.I can even work on rendering and analysis of the vehicle. softwares that i will be using are CATIA for designing,Hyperworks for analysis and KEYSHOT for rendering.I can even send you details of my work that i have done if required for your reference.
