Burn Rate - A contemporary art project

Capitalism's mercenaries are participating in an office union (communion) to create an #ewf14 artists' working space. Part performance, part workshop, Free-lancing while residing inside the Emerging Writer's Festival HQ (like Sliding Doors) as we fall into a frenetic practice of 'making art', 'writing' and 'criticising'. A collective of artists, authors who work, work, work. Come and work from 9 to 5 at art for eleven days. A desk, a lifestyle, a CBD nirvana experience in navigating writing/art/criticism. Ideas and feeling preferred. Water cooler instant coffee culture provided. Workshop your writing, indulge in trans-continental skype discussion and transcend your usual free-lyfe-lancing existence with ya peers. Don't send us a CV, just tell us who you are where you're from and why you should 'work'. Or let us see, including but not limited to: writing, tumblrs, twitters, projects, collabs, bots, recent and new works, your website, screenshots, skype chats, shit you did last summer, grams, blogs, games you made, and trash talk. Show us what you want to show us. This is an art project concerned with canvassing responses to the role of labour within contemporary society. This project offers an opportunity to reflect upon these themes and invitation to offer your own reflections, whether critical, positive or otherwise. Although responses would ideally largely be in English, submissions and contributions may be in part in other languages. In effect, this work investigates the the spread of a logic of market efficiency into artistic service production. The content for this project would is intended to be a set of texts produced in reference to these themes, ideally based upon your reflections and research. Of course, you may also wish to involve other people you know. In terms of the presentation of the project, I imagine the correspondence and other texts (or images) being printed in a mock office binder or the like, as though the information were a company report or business analysis. Currently, a quote for 8 hours per day from 28 April to 7 May would be ideal. However, please also provide quotes for fewer hours per day.
