Convert pdf children's book into an interactive iPad app

We have a 12 page pdf children's book (made on Adobe Illustrator originally) that we want to make into an interactive iPad app. We would work with a developer to determine what motion, sounds, and other interactive features we want on each page. Additional graphics if needed can easily be created by us. This is our first app, so we are new to this process. Would like to work with someone who has done this type of thing before, and would like to see examples of your work. Sample pages can be provided before final decision is made.
