DataGrid View for Xamarin Android

This project is to build a DataGrid View for Android in C# using Xamarin. The deliverables for the project will be the source code for a fully working DataGrid View based on the following specification. I will own the intellectual property rights to the source code once delivered and paid for. The DataGrid View shall be a component (class) which presents data in a tabular fashion using rows and columns and optionally displaying grid lines to separate both rows and columns. It shall be capable of filling more space than the available screen dimensions and thus must be scrollable both horizontally and vertically. It shall allow for an optional header row to contain column captions which, when present are always visible for the columns which are currently visible on screen. The columns should allow for settings such as caption text, font, background colour, text colour, alignment and column width to be set for the header. The column width should apply to all vertical cells under that column. Each cell within a row should be able to display (read only) either text, a Boolean value (displayed as a check mark) or an image. The height of a row should automatically adjust to the height of the largest cell. Cells must allow text colour to be set individually but use the column values as a default. Cell background colour for the row must be able to be changed (e.g. to allow different alternate row background colour). The control should only render cells as they become visible and dispose cells as they leave the view, this is to ensure that memory usage is managed effectively. The delivery of the cell contents should be through the use of some form of data adapter, perhaps an extension of DataTable and DataRow. The data adapter must contain virtual methods to provide a) the total number of rows in the source data and b) the contents for a cell given the row index and the column name. Each cell should provide a tap event passing (as a derivative of EventArgs) the row index, column name and cell contents (value). When tapped the cell or row should provide visual feedback as is common in any android view. The DataGrid View should perform adequately. On a dual core 1.3GHz android device, loading a grid of 10 columns and 500 rows of text cells should take less than 3 seconds. Scrolling the grid both horizontally and vertically should be smooth and fast. The DataGrid View component should be suitable to be used using Visual Studio 2013 or greater. Each class or interface should be in it’s own file. Variable names should be in English and meaningful. Example screenshots can be provided if needed.
