It is a 8-10 research paper for international relation class. We were asked to choose a to topic that is related to our class. The following is the instruction: "This is a project that you do on your own. Your research paper should be 8-10 pages in length (not including cover page, references, or attached presentation slides). Your paper must have attached to it 5-10 slides that you would use if asked to present your research to the class. Papers turned-in without attached slides will face a half-letter grade deduction. Your paper should be printed on 8½ x 11 paper, using: Times New Roman 12 Point Font, double-spacing, 1 inch margins on all sides, and MLA standard formatting. It should have a cover page and (at the end) a list of references that you used. The best papers will be presented in section and/or lecture … if chosen, you will earn extra credit for your presentation. In addition to a hardcopy, you must also submit a soft-copy to your teaching assistant via email." And also before the research paper is due, we were asked to submit a research project proposal . The following is the instruction about the proposal: "Your proposal should be about 3 typed pages in length. You should describe the topic that you will be researching, the method of presentation (paper or film), who is working on the project, your thesis (overall point you will be making), and a general outline of how you plan to proceed with the project. This outline represents your “contract” for the work you will do on the research project. For example, if you commit to a group project you must follow through – you cannot decide later that you want to write a paper."
