ASP.NET demo application development for .NET training class

Goal: This asp.net application will be a demo application for coinducting asp.net training. It will be a very simple application with examples of coding implementation of code written in asp.net. For example – If we have to demo how a LDAP or SQL query work to the students then the application must have a working example for a demo. It is to be noted that we already have an application which is half way baked which you may reuse and start from where we have left. Refer the requirements below for more details. Incase the alignment of below texts are screwed up attached is the document with same details. Requirements: A. Landing Page (before authentication) • A Login box (with Forgot Password and Register User option) • Simple CAPTCHA for Login box, Forgot Password and Register User options B. Landing Page (after authetication) • For User (Role Type 3) o The landing page will have access to following modules  Exercises and demo examples  Edit Profile (Change Password, Email ID etc)  Log-Out • For admin ((Role Type 2) o The landing page will have access to following modules  Add, Delete, Update, Enable/Disable Users (no access to user password)  Create user (can only create user of role type 3)  Edit Profile (Change Password, Email ID etc)  Active users  Page displaying an user activity (along with IP address) online in real-time  Log-Out • For Superadmin (Role Type 1) o The landing page will have access to following modules  Add, Delete, Update, Enable/Disable Users  Create user  Edit Profile (Change Password, Email ID etc)  Active users  Page displaying an user activity (along with IP address) online in real-time  Log-Out C. Examples and Demos • Web application level examples – Nearly 60 exercises to be created which will include functionalities such as SQL, LDAP, Exception Handling, Session Management, Multi Threading, XML handling and file upload etc. These exercises will be very simple and does not involve any complicated coding. • REST Web Services – 5 different exercises each of REST developed using WCF and Web API • SOAP Web Services – 5 exercises D. Database Creating Script • You will have to provide us both the db creation script and the database of the application Note: We are not expecting any of these exercises to be written from scratch as you may plugin or copy paste code from your existing work. As these are demo exercises and do not involve any hardcore business logic, we know it would be easy to just copy paste from your existing code base to keep the cost and effort low. TERMS AND CONDITIONS • Application must be fully tested and error-free completely functional • You will be responsible to setting up the application on out hosting space • The application must be written using VS2008 or above • We will do the minimal security tests on the site and any major security problem exist in your work, you’ll have to fix it without any extra cost • Within the total cost, max of 10-20% changes has to be accommodate which may not make any major difference in overall efforts • We will be the copyrights owner as we are paying for this work and it is developed with our idea • On agreement of terms and conditions, you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement form with us • You cannot list us as your customer in your client’s list for this particular project unless we approve it for any specific projects we do with you • Our application will not have your links or ads. You will not put any trace of your company or developer details. Those details will be the one provided be the one provided by us.
