Adapt the attachment_doc SquirrelMail plug-in, which translates documents (doc and pfd) into html format, to use on oscommerce.

The resultant osc plug-in should be able to manage e-books (.doc,.pdf): on the front-end users, should allow users to read, buy, download and print e-books. On the back office it should allow administrators to insert, convert to html, and remove e-books from the system. (Can make use of osc functions)

Knowledge of the oscommerce platform is requested as coder will have to integrate the plug-in on the actual platform.
We recommend interested coders to sign-in and test the existing ebooks display malfunctioning algorithm; it’s what we want to replace. Example: [url removed, login to view]é[url removed, login to view]
Coder should deliver the development, installation and configuration on the current environment of the plug-in, in two languages: English and Portuguese.
Plug-in functionality should be similar to [url removed, login to view] or www.scribd.com.
**Coder is also responsible the complete website final release. No major further modifications of the actual osc are required, but last minute plug-in integration fine- tunings might be needed.**
E-books will be entered in .doc or .pdf format by the administrators after reviewing what was received by the authors. The system will then convert it to html format in order to achieve a good online reading experience and be able to print it when requested.
The plug-in must comply with OSC language files format, in order for future adding of more languages. The Plug-in should:
• Allow admins to insert and remove e-books
• Convert ebooks from the .doc/.pdf format, maintaining the document layout attributes and basic formatting options, including images
• Allow admins to publishing e-books (make them available for sell/print/read online)
• Display e-books (similar to Google books or [url removed, login to view]). The layout should:
> - Have a natural page change providing a good reading experience
> - Have page numbers and allow jumping to page x
> - Have horizontal and vertical scroll bars if needed
> - Have a button for ordering a download and other for printing (both can be free or paid)
> - Have a magnifying lens (optional)
