We are an ecommerce company specializing in selling menswear on various online channels like eBay, Amazon, website, etc. We use ChannelAdvisor ([[login to view URL]][1]) as our auction and marketplace management software. Our product inventory is the foundation of our ChannelAdvisor system. Today, we upload our inventory to ChannelAdvisor in bulk by importing a tab delimited spreadsheet (see attached file template for entering new products). The bulk import process also supports updating inventory items in bulk..
We would like to replace this spreadsheet with a new Access database application. We envision a front-end user interface (form) that allows the entering of new products and stores them in an Access database. With a push of a button, we need to be able to generate a tab delimited file which will be manually (or automatically) uploaded to Channel Advisor.
We have several “classes?? or “types?? of products (i.e. ties, suits, pants, dress shirts, casual shirts, accessories, etc) and each class will need slightly different fields on the form (some fields will be pre-populated with drop-down menus that are pulled from simple “lookup?? tables). Simple validation will be needed for most fields.
Once bid is accepted we will provide all the necessary requirements/specifications for the project. We are looking for a developer who will work with us on getting the interface that we want. This project should be easy for someone who is familiar with this type of development.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
