I am looking for a highly competent individual or company, with whom I can build an ongoing working relationship. I have very limited technical knowledge and so will look to you for advice and support. My project is in 2 parts. Part 1 will include graphic design, logo etc, designing and building my website plus ongoing support.
Part 2 will include promotion, optimisation and link building.
PART 1
The site itself is not very complex, but must be very easy to use and look great.
I want a site that will be a directory for entertainers and will allow subscribers to easily upload photos, images, audio clips, video clips, and text. They will also be able to edit their entry at any time. I want the site to have a mix of the features of [login to view URL] and gigmaster.com. I would suggest that you look closely at these 2 sites before bidding. Please note I do not intend for the site to have a booking facility.
You will need to create excellent graphics and a logo for the site, the logo should include a Vector format.
There will be 3 levels of directory membership:-
Standard entry which in effect will be similar to an electronic business card, there
will be the facility to upload 1 small “thumb nail image” a brief description, contact details with links to a website if they have one.
Intermediate entry which will include the facility to upload up to 3 photos/images
and 3 audio clips plus up to 500 words of text, links to a website etc.
Top level entry which in addition to the above will include up to 5 photos/images 5 audio clips plus 3 video clips.
Images and text will be uploaded by the subscriber on to pre-formed templates, the images/photos should automatically re-size so as not to affect the formatting.
Navigation through the various categories should be similar to that of [login to view URL] but directory entries should be listed in a similar way to [login to view URL] , with the highest level entries listed first followed by the intermediate and then the basic. There should also be the facility for me to allocate a top 5 position which should display in a different colour from the other entries. I would also like to include categories other than entertainers( such as party planners, wedding planners, etc etc – see entsweb.
Because of UK performing rights and copy write issues the audio and video clips can only be 30 seconds long. It will therefore be necessary to build in a “fade out” after 30 seconds. It is also important that the video clips load quickly and can be played back easily on most pc equipment. Attention should be paid to the disk space/bandwidth that the clips consume whilst retaining reasonable play back quality.
It is initially intended to use Paypal for subscriber payments. Payments should automatically generate an access code/ password which will be sent by email. There should be the facility to change the access code or request a new one if forgotten which also should be automated. There should also be the facility for me to set promotional access codes etc.
The site should include pages for entertainment/news and articles, subscription/ advertising rates information/ “link to us” info with codes to cut and paste. There should also be a forum.
There should be some small banners and boxes for advertising space similar to those on [login to view URL]
There should also be a simple to use content management system with fully documented instructions.
When the site is completed I will require it to be set up by you, with my hosting company (I have not chosen one yet) I will also require a minimum of 90 days support and troubleshooting to be included. (hopefully if you do a good job of building the site, not too many problems will arise)
The site must be constructed with SEO in mind.
PART 2
When the site is up and running I will require it to get top 10 or better positions on Google Yahoo MSN etc for the following search terms and a PR of 5 or above.

Wedding entertainer
Childrens Entertainer
Party entertainer
Musicians
Magicians
DJ
Singers
This will require good quality back links to high ranking relevant sites eg entertainment and music related sites.
Please bid separately for parts 1 and 2. Preference will be given to bidders who can successfully complete both parts 1 and 2 although consideration will be given to awarding them separately.
Payment for part 1 will be in 3 stages as follows 25% on approval of the graphics and logo. 50% when the site is set up with my chosen host 25% after 30 days testing and snagging are completed.
Payment for part 2 will be on results and only paid when the results have been achieved, although stage payments will be considered.
On final payment copy write of all the work will pass to me.
