I am reading a file into a string with the following code:
Set objFile = [login to view URL](source, ForReading)
Do Until [login to view URL]
strLine = [login to view URL]
strReplacer = Chr(34) & "," & Chr(34)
strLine = Replace(strLine, strReplacer, "")
strLine = Replace(strLine, chr(34), "")
strNewText = strNewText & strLine & vbCrLF
Loop
[login to view URL]
I need to add code that will take the first item in the file, and pad it so it is 10 characters.
Sample:
"5","test file","from a csv data file"
Should be:
5 test filefrom a csv data file
(sorry, extra spaces are stripped out when posting the project. But there should be 9 spaces after the number 5)
Most of the code is there to do this - I just need the code to find the first item in quotes, pad it to 10 chars, then process the string and strip out the quotes and commas.
Must be done today.
