Hello,
Our need is to build a script that will ask the new registration for Mobile number and send SMS message to Mobile for confirmation, using Google SMS service.
This script/plugin will help us to stop spammers and will help to stop abusers from using the membership to abuse the rules.
- Allow each phone to register once only:
* This script will allow each mobile phone to register once only so if the new member entered this phone for example: +971555666611 and this number already used for registration before
- Search for members by phone #
* We should be able to search for members by phone number
- Allow registration by Country code
* We have to add allow list for mobile phone numbers like: +971, +966 .. etc so no one will be able to use online mobile service to bypass the registration confirmation process, user must have a valid phone number from only the country code that we add to allow list only.
- Future to ask old membership for mobile phone
* We need option that will force all members that didn't have confirmed mobile attached to their membership to add it and then go through sms to mobile phone validation process to confirm the mobile#, This option is needed for future use.
- Support for vBulletin 3.8+ ,4 and 5
* This script should support any vBulletin version so if we are using vBulletin 3.8.9 and we decided to upgrade to vBulletin 5 the plugin should work smoothly without any problems, Note that the mobile phone must be linked to membership and in case of upgrade for the script or the plugin we don't want to lose any phone data which linked to each new members ship.
- Two factor authentication using Google two factor authentication service
* members should have option to activate two factor authentication to login, This option could be enabled or disabled by administrator for specific members or for all forum.
To confirm no abuse for number of sms sent to validate there should be a limit to number of sms sent to mobile phone (if this already provided by Google SMS it's perfect), your experience with the validation using google SMS will help us alot
